Gummi is an opensource project started in August of 2009 by Alexander van der Mey. It is a LaTeX editor written in the Python programming language using the PyGTK interface toolkit. It was designed with simplicity and the novice user in mind, but also offers features that speak to the more advanced user. Gummi is still under active development and is released under the open-source MIT license.
